A2 Steel - Compact Strength
Every IBC Butt Chisel blade is machined from AISI high-vanadium A2 tool steel, fully stress relieved, triple tempered, cryogenically treated, and hardened to 60–62 Rc for dependable edge retention.
The 4.75" blade is ground with a 25° primary bevel and a 2° higher micro-bevel, combining a keen cutting edge with the durability expected from an everyday woodworking tool.
A solid hardened steel ferrule reinforces the tang and strengthens the handle, allowing the chisel to withstand both controlled hand pressure and occasional mallet work.
