Every blade is AISI High Vanadium A2 tool steel: stress relieved, triple tempered, cryogenically treated, hardened to 60–62 Rc. The backs arrive flat — a light hone before first use, not an afternoon of lapping.

The handle is IBC's tang-and-socket hybrid: light and rigid enough to pare with, strong enough to take a mallet without working loose. The blade changes over in seconds, so one handle serves all three — and any IBC blade you add later.
